My Operettas – 75 Years – Tribute and Musical Performance

We invite you to a special event: “My Operettas – 75 Years.”
On November 7, the day when Romanian operetta celebrates 75 years (since 1950), we pay tribute to the great tenor Ion Dacian, the artist who transformed the Operetta Theatre into a true cultural landmark of Romania.

This event offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a selection of famous arias from classic operettas and musicals. It is a bridge between the history of the genre and our modern vision — to make operetta a contemporary, accessible, and vibrant form of performance.

Professor Dr. Stephan Poen is the special guest of the evening. He will present key moments from Ion Dacian’s artistic career and the evolution of operetta throughout these 75 years.

The performance will take place in the elegant atmosphere of the Opereta Lounge, located in the theatre foyer. The artistic program is structured into two parts of 40 minutes each.
