Calendar of Events of the National Operetta and Musical Theatre for the 2025–2026 Season

Calendar of Events of the National Operetta and Musical Theatre for the 2025–2026 Season

The National Operetta and Musical Theatre “Ion Dacian” has published the calendar of repertoire events for the second part of the 2025/2026 season (January–June).

The repertoire season resumes on 15 January, at 7:00 PM, on National Culture Day, with a double event: the rock opera Meșterul Manole, followed by the concert Meșterii Rock (16 January, 7:00 PM), part of the Opereta Lounge evenings. This is not a random choice, but rather a metaphor for the institution’s history over the past 75 years, as the theatre celebrates in 2026 a decade since its re-establishment.

For the Operetta Theatre, National Culture Day also marks another anniversary — the national premiere of the rock opera Meșterul Manole took place on 15 January 2024. In doing so, we lay the foundation for a tradition: to organize and present, every year on this date, events dedicated to the customs and history of the Romanian people.
