Monica Marin

She graduated from the Music High School in Focșani, Classical Singing Department. She later continued her studies at the National University of Music Bucharest, Classical Singing Department, under Professor Ionel Voineag (class of 2001–2006).

Professional Background

Between 2005 and 2006, she became a soprano lyrical artist at the “Ion Dacian” National Operetta and Musical Theatre, where she continues to perform to this day. During this period, she has appeared in the chorus in productions such as:
The Gypsy Baron, Countess Maritza, Die Fledermaus, The Bird Seller, The Merry Widow, Rebecca, Silvia, My Fair Lady, Hello Dolly, Broadway, Pac Poc Pic, The Land of Smiles, The White Horse Inn, Candide, Paganini, Romeo and Juliet, and others.

Within the theatre, she has also performed solo roles, including:

  • The Flower SellerMy Fair Lady

As a soprano lyrical artist, she has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as:
Notre Dame, the Romanian Athenaeum, Sala Dalles, the Bucharest National Opera, the Romanian National Opera Iași, the “Oleg Danovski” National Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the Bucharest Philharmonic, among others.

She has won numerous awards, including:

She has also participated in numerous festivals and tours both in Romania and abroad.
