Corina Plopeanu

She graduated from the Faculty of Musical Performance of the National University of Music Bucharest, Classical Singing Department, in 2003. She later continued her studies at the “Spiru Haret” University, Faculty of Music, completing a Master’s degree in Musical Art.

Professional Background

In 1995, she joined the “Ion Dacian” National Operetta and Musical Theatre in Bucharest as a soprano in the chorus, and in 2003 she became a lyrical artist within the same ensemble, where she continues to perform to this day. During this period, she has appeared in the chorus in productions such as:
Die Fledermaus, Countess Maritza, The White Horse Inn, The Gypsy Baron, The Bird Seller, Silvia, The Merry Widow, My Fair Lady, The Land of Smiles, Marco Polo’s Secret, The Flower of Hawaii, La Belle Hélène, Paganini, The Bourgeois Gentleman, Kiss Me, Kate!, Romeo and Juliet, Rebecca, The Phantom of the Opera, Dacika, Victoria and Her Hussar.

Within the theatre, she has also performed solo roles, including:

As a lyrical artist, she has collaborated with the George Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest and the “Divina Armonie” Academic Choir.
