She graduated in 2006 from the Faculty of Music within Transilvania University of Brașov, Classical Singing Department, in the class of Prof. Dr. Cristina Soreanu, and completed her Master’s studies between 2016–2018.
From her first year of university, she was employed as a lyrical artist at the Brașov Opera, where she performed various roles from the theatre’s repertoire. After graduating, she continued to refine her vocal technique by attending masterclasses with Prof. Georgeta Stoleriu, soprano Eugenia Moldoveanu, and mezzo‑soprano Ecaterina Țuțu.
The vocal technique she developed over time, under the guidance of masters from both classical and contemporary music, has enabled mezzo‑soprano Cristina Trandafir to approach a wide stylistic range — effortlessly transitioning from rock, blues, folk, and pop to sacred and medieval music — participating in numerous genre festivals. She has also appeared as a soloist in many vocal‑symphonic concerts alongside philharmonic orchestras across Romania.
In 2017, she participated in the Titta Ruffo International Singing Competition in Italy, where, in addition to her prize, she received a debut performance at the “Ion Dacian” National Operetta and Musical Theatre. Since 2018, she has been employed as a soloist of the institution, debuting in roles such as:
Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss,
Czipra in The Gypsy Baron by J. Strauss,
Old Lady in Candide by L. Bernstein,
Beatrice Lacy in Rebecca by Sylvester Levay,
Stepmother in Cinderella by G. Mazzoli & O. Lacagnina,
Guest Primadonna in Bonjour, bonne nuit, Paris!.
