Carmen Angheloiu

She graduated from the “Dinu Lipatti” High School of Arts in Bucharest in 1994. She later continued her studies at the National University of Music “Ciprian Porumbescu”, Classical Singing Department.

Professional Background

Her activity as a lyrical artist expanded in 2004 through her collaboration with the Operettenbühne Wien, with which she toured in countries such as Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Denmark.
In 2008, she joined the “Matteo Casaburi” Theatre in Italy, where she worked as a soloist, set designer, and stage designer until 2013.
Also in 2008, she performed as a soloist with the Choir of the National University of Music “Ciprian Porumbescu”, and between 2008–2011 she took part as a soloist in the annual concerts and exhibitions “Color, Music and Light.”

In 1996, she joined the “Ion Dacian” National Operetta and Musical Theatre as a soprano lyrical artist, where she continues to perform to this day. She has appeared in productions such as:
The Bourgeois Gentleman, The Merry Widow, Gulliver in the Land of the Dwarfs, Victoria and Her Hussar, Bonjour, bonne nuit, Paris, Die Fledermaus, The Land of Smiles, Kiss Me, Kate!, Candide, My Fair Lady, The Gypsy Baron, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Dacika, Offenbach’s Tales, A Journey Through Film and Musical, The Phantom of the Opera, The Bird Seller, Viennese Blood, Romeo and Juliet, Rebecca.

Within the theatre, she has also performed solo roles such as:
