
He graduated from the “Octav Băncilă” Arts High School in Iași in 1992. He later continued his studies at the National University of Music Bucharest, Voice Department.
Professional Background
In 2001, he became a bass lyrical artist at the Iași National Opera, where he worked until 2004. During this period, he performed as a chorus member in productions such as:
The Pearl Fishers, Viennese Blood, Nabucco, Un ballo in maschera, La Traviata, Die Fledermaus, Carmen, and others.
In 2004, he joined the “Ion Dacian” National Operetta and Musical Theatre as a bass lyrical artist, performing in productions such as:
The Land of Smiles, The Merry Widow, The Flower of Hawaii, Silvia, Broadway Bucharest, Victoria and Her Hussar, Countess Maritza, The Gypsy Baron, Rebecca, The Phantom of the Opera, A Night in Venice, A Night in Vienna, Die Fledermaus, My Fair Lady, Hello Dolly, Gulliver in the Land of the Dwarfs, The Fiancé from the Moon, Offenbach’s Guests, Romeo and Juliet, The Importance of Being Earnest, Cabaret, A Journey Through the World of Film and Musical, Operetta Laughs, Sings and Dances, Candide.
Within the theatre, he has also performed solo roles such as:
Barbă Cot – Gulliver in the Land of the Dwarfs,
Tachi – The Land of Smiles,
Karl – The Fiancé from the Moon,
The Inquisitor – Candide.
As a bass lyrical artist, he has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as the I.L. Caragiale National Theatre Bucharest (The Bourgeois Gentleman), the Bucharest National Opera, and the National University of Music Bucharest.
He has participated in numerous festivals and tours both in Romania and abroad, including:
the International Festival “Life is Beautiful”, the Chestnut Festival – Baia Mare, and tours in Constanța, Timișoara, Deva, Alba Iulia, Craiova, Sibiu, as well as in France with the “Camerata” Choir from Iași.
