“What if life was just a colour puzzle, a game whose pieces are placed in the right location at the right time?”
To complete this picture of our lives we need vivid, strong memories. The idea I started from was that surrounding objects can become temporal vehicles of one’s own existence. Their apparent “silence” tells us a story. Let’s have the courage to discover it. By their mere presence, objects have the power to transcend time, to encapsulate all three temporal axes: past, present and future.
How valuable can the teddy bear be forgotten on a shelf in the attic of the house? Its value derives precisely from the avalanche of memories and emotions that it triggers in our mind and soul. So let’s get on this “carousel” of feelings and look at life as a sum of encounters. Let the ephemerality of thoughts suspend the present time. To tell a story in an integral Dance Show is the hot desire of any choreographer. And I feel extremely honoured to have been given this chance. A dream comes true!
“The coloured glass of a Lifetime” show is a special event for the ensemble and soloists of the ballet of the National Theatre of Operetta and Musical “Ion Dacian”. Through my creation I wanted to bring to the fore the talent of this valuable ballet troupe with versatile artistic personalities. The dancers of the National Theatre of Operetta and Musical, of which I am also a part, became actor-dancers and helped me to shape my feelings by drawing gestures and by the force of their interpretation. I want to thank them for that.
All I want is for this show to become, at least for one evening, a bright memory in the coloured glass of your lifetime, dear audience!”
